Why Give to NAMLE
Support Pioneering Projects
Your generous contribution can provide critically needed start-up funding for pioneering projects that will advance the field in 2008 – and beyond:
- Disseminate the Core Principles of Media Literacy Education in thousands of classrooms, schools and districts
- Provide an online marketplace and clearinghouse for innovative media literacy resources and teaching materials like the acclaimed Hurricane Katrina curriculum
- Establish a professional Journal of Media Literacy Education
- Support and mentor graduate students who are our future leaders
- Help young people create their own voice through media production
- Expand partnerships nationally and internationally
- Maximize the opportunities for collaboration and networking provided by NAMLE's new website
Ensure A Firm Foundation
If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a small army to build a viable national organization. For five years, NAMLE has operated on the thousands of generous hours of its Board of Directors and member-volunteers. To continue to grow and provide national leadership for the field, NAMLE will soon need to supplement that energy by investing in
- People: salaries, benefits, clerical support
- Space: a small office suite for several staff
- Technology: computers, software, databases, websites
- Services: accounting, legal, membership and development
Technical assistance grants, targeted gifts or bequests can be made in any one of several ways and can be arranged to achieve maximum tax benefits for the donor while at the same time provide support to the Alliance. To discuss the specifics of a major gift or bequest, please contact the AMLA Development Committee Chair at Development@namle.net
Their generous contributions over many years has enabled NAMLE to take root and fluorish as one of the up and coming nonprofit organizations serving the education field.
