Board of Directors

The AMLA is governed by an all-volunteer 14-member Board of Directors that works through an active committee structure to conduct the business of the organization and plan its future. The Board meets every year for a three day board retreat and monthly by conference call. Members are elected for two year terms and may serve three terms before rotating off for at least one year.

AMLA is indebted to the following women and men (and the institutions that may support their AMLA Board service) for their time and energy, expertise and passionate commitment to advancing the cause of media literacy education in the United States.
